I was born and raised in Louisville, KY just across the river. I am a life-long Disciple of Christ, baptized into faith by my home congregation of Edenside Christian Church. I received my B.A. in English and creative writing at Kenyon College before attending Lexington Theological Seminary to get my Masters of Divinity. I have served on the regional board for Indiana, and I love participating in local and regional clergy groups.
At FCC Jeffersonville, I started out as a student pastor for the children’s ministry, and was then hired as the first full time associate pastor for Spiritual Formation. My primary focus was the educational ministries of the church, but I also provided pastoral care, worship planning and leadership for a variety of our ministry teams. Since then I have gotten married to my husband Mark, had my first child, Brooke, traveled to Mexico and India with my Wabash Pastoral Leadership group funded by the Lily Endowment, and served alongside a variety of pastors, learning and growing at each stage. FCC Jeffersonville loved me into ministry from student to Senior and we have walked in sacred spaces together since 2003.
I have celebrated many joyous seasons at FCC Jeffersonville, but I have also weathered some of our greatest trials. My time here has always deepened my faith and trust in the power of the Gospel. We have grown together thus far, and I am excited about this new chapter in our story. I am proud to be the first female Senior Pastor in our rich 187 year history as a faithful Disciples of Christ congregation. FCC Jeffersonville is a generous, warm congregation that has a wonderful sense of joy and fun.
